Dr. Davis is a fully trained medical and surgical eye physician. His special interests include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, dry eyes, and diabetic eye care. Dr. Davis grew up in Oldsmar, Florida. He attended Palm Harbor University High School where he completed the International Baccalaureate Program. He continued his undergraduate college education at the University of Florida completing all of his premedical course requirements and earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Cum Laude. With the ultimate goal of becoming a physician, he remained in Gainesville at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he received the Medical Student Award for Academic Excellence, Professionalism, and Humanism. Upon graduation from medical school, he completed a medicine internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He returned to the Tampa Bay area to join the Residency Program of the Ophthalmology Department at the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine. During his Ophthalmology Residency, he had several articles published in peer reviewed journals, The Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Retina. He also had the privilege of serving as Chief Resident of the Ophthalmology Department during his fourth year of Residency. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In his free time, Dr. Davis enjoys golfing, sporting events, and spending time with his family.
